SWEYN'S EY MORris and Sword dancers
We are Sweyn's Ey Morris, a traditional side of Morris and sword dancers based in Swansea in South Wales.
We dance for the sheer joy of it, and to keep old traditions alive.
Come watch us dance on Thursday evenings during the summer, come practice with us during the winter,
or book us at any time for your event!
More details of our practice sessions and autumn/winter public performances are on our 'See us dance!' page.
Do join us if you can!
dancing out
We 'dance out' every Thursday evening from around May to September, usually picking one or two pubs within Swansea and Gower (and sometimes further afield) to shake our bells at.
We love having an audience, so keep an eye on the 'see us dance' page to see where we are dancing next. |

From late September to the end of April we practice on Thursday evenings at The Sacred Heart Centre (Pentrepoeth School Road, Morriston, Swansea, SA6 6HZ), from 19:30 - 21:30.
After that, we often head to one of our favourite nearby watering holes to quench our thirst after leaping around. Sometimes we even play a few session tunes in the pub...
Does this sound like fun?! Come along and try it! Drop us a line via the 'contact' page.

We regularly dance at festivals, fetes, weddings, birthdays and other events, and would be delighted to discuss your requirements.

A massive thank you to Joann Randles for her stunning picture of Sweyn's Ey dancing at midsummer in 2021 at King Arthur's Stone on Cefn Bryn, Gower (top of the home page). Please check out her website right here and follow her on Twitter @JoannRandles. Our Archivist, Paul Tarrant takes the vast majority of the photos, but on occasion, where he actually features in a shot, he has normally passed his camera to someone else to take the pic.
