Sweyn's Ey Morris have had a long affiliation with the old Gower Halfpenny Folk Club, dating back to the early 70s when it was held in the Britannia Inn, and more laterly, the Greyhound. Sadly, the folk club ceased when the Greyhound closed but each June a festival is held at Weobley Castle Farm, and we’ve been honoured to be invited to dance there.
This June saw us perform at the festival for the first time in two years and it was wonderful to dance there again, and see lots of people and friends who have been involved in the Gower and south Wales folk scene. Great news that the festival completely sold out all its tickets! Here’s a selection of pics showing us performing, first in the barn due to a pesky rain shower and then outside in the sunshine at this marvelous place.
