Dancing has been scuppered of late after several of the side caught COVID. It was disappointing that we had to cancel our Summer Solstice gig at Arthur’s Stone, as well as a planned dance out with Carreg Las and Heb Enw Morris at Laugharne. However, with the side testing negative, we went ahead with a planned tour of these two lovely pubs situated to the north of Swansea.
The locals came out in force to watch us at the New Inn where we did several dances including Skirmish Fieldtown, Y Caseg Eira Nantgarw, Speed the Plough Bampton as well as Adderbury dances before the heavens opened upon us with much heavy rain just before we started our second set! This signalled a move to the Millers just a mere couple of miles away, and miraculously, it was dry there so we did several dances including Badby and enjoyed the ale there. A good evening all round and signs of us getting back on our feet after a bit of a setback.
